CHINA GROVE, N.C. (April 28) - Sage Brooke Culbert announced officially today that her future sister, with an expected delivery date on or around July 7, 2008, will be named Sara Elizabeth Culbert.
"I know my name has something to do with some kind of hunting grass," the noble yellow lab Sage Culbert lamented. "And my middle name pays honor to my dad's old pup Brooke (dec. April 2006), so I expect Sara's name too has some special meaning."
Sara, which means "princess" in a majority of origins, was selected by parents Erin and Kurt partly to pay homage to her maternal great-grandmother Sarah. Elizabeth, which also was GGM Sarah Martin's middle name, means "God is my oath." It has a strong presence in both families, with the closest being Sara's paternal cousin Elizabeth Nancy Culbert. Additionally, Sara's paternal grandmother shares her middle name.
The name was officially presented to both sets of Sara's grandparents in a hand-crafted announcement (by mom) this past weekend.
